Kappa Mu was chartered in Harlingen on May 28th, 1958.  Many fine women have been members of our chapter and we are honored to have three life members, one past state president, and members who have held various state offices in the Texas State Council and District III Council.  We are proud to say that we take an active part in the district and in state board meetings and conventions.  

We meet twice monthly except for the summer months.  The first meeting is a business meeting and the second is a social meeting.  The income from our fund raisers allows us to contribute to St. Jude, Texas Love Fund, Easter Seals, and the Disaster Fund and to contribute to other local, state, and international entities.

A Christmas tree is set up within the Harlingen Arts and Heritage Museum each year which helps to advertise our existence and our purpose and hopefully attract new members.  Our fund raisers also expose us to our communities and new members because we wear our chapter shirts with our chapter name, number and the name of ESA embroidered on them.
